[DRUG NAME] Generic name: Compound Bismuth Aluminate Capsules
[INDICATIONS] Compound bismuth aluminate capsules is a kind of anti-acid adstringens. It is indicated for the treatment of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, chronic superficial gastritis, gastric hypersecretion, and duodenal bulb infection.
[INGREDIENTS] Compound preparation. Each capsule contains 66.7mg bismuth aluminate, 133.3mg heavy magnesium carbonate, 66.7 mg sodium bicarbonate, 100mg powder of Radix glycyrrhiza extract, 8.3mg frangula, and 3.3mg powder of aniseed.
[DESCRIPTION] Light brown powder capsules.
[PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY] The protective membrane will be formed on mucosa of stomach and duodenum by bismuth aluminate. Sodium bicarbonate and heavy magnesium carbonate can be anti-acid. The above ingredients are mixed with glycyrrhiza extract, frangula, and aniseed to form the compound. The compound bismuth aluminate capsules can treat gastric hypersecretion, stomach or intestinal tympanites and constipation, strengthen mucosa shield in stomach and duodenum, and regenerate the mucosa to heal ulcer.
Animal experiments suggested that this drug could significantly reduce the incidence of the rats'experimental gastritis, and have obviously preventive and therapeutic effects on rats'excitability and pylorus deligation ulcer. It can also neutralize gastric acid, but not obviously influent the gastric juice adjusting.
[DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION] 3 to 6 capsules to be taken 3 times daily with water after meals. 1 to 2 months in a course of treatment.
