[DRUG NAME] Generic name: Metformin Hydrochloride and Glibenclamide Capsules(I)

[INDICATIONS]

1. For patients with type 2 diabetes who fail in a satisfactory control of blood sugar level by simple alimentary control or kinesiatrics.

2. A second-line drug for patients with type 2 diabetes who fail in a satisfactory control of blood sugar level after the respective treatment with sulfonylurea or deltamine.

[DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION] Individual administration.

1. For patients with type 2 diabetes who fail in a satisfactory control of blood sugar level by simple alimentary control or kinesiatrics: 1 capsule (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 1.25mg/250mg) per day to be taken with a meal at the initial dose.

2. For patients with baseline HbAlc>9% or FPG>200md/dl and treated for the first time: The initial dose is 1 capsule (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 1.25mg/250mg) to be taken with breakfast and supper twice daily at the initial dose; Increasing daily dose every two weeks to achieve the minimum effective dose.

3. For patients who have taken other hypoglycemic agents: 2 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 2.5mg/500mg) or 4 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 5mg/1000mg) to be taken with meals twice daily at the initial dose. For patients who fail in a satisfactory control of blood sugar level after the respectvie treatment of sulfonylurea or deltamine: 2 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 2.5mg/500mg) or 4 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 5mg/1000mg) to be taken with meals twice daily at the initial dose. To avoid glycopenia, the initial dose should not exceed the daily dose of sulfonylurea or deltamine taken before. Daily dose should be adjusted step by step, increment per time should be no more than 2 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 2.5mg/500mg) to achieve the minimum effective therapeutic dose.

4. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 capsules (Glibenclamide/ dimethylbiguanide: 10mg/2000mg).

[SPECIFICATION] 0.25g dianoguanil and 1.25mg Glybenzcyclamide per capsule

[STORAGE] Keep tightly closed at the room temperature. Protect from direct light.

[PACKAGE] 12 capsules × 2 or 4 in aluminium plastics packaging.

[SHELF-LIFE] 24 months tentatively set on.
